WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE IN SKOPJE IN JUNE?
In June, Skopje enjoys warm summer weather with daytime temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F) and cooler nights around 15°C to 18°C (59°F to 64°F). Rainfall is minimal, with occasional short showers, making it a great time for outdoor activities under sunny skies.
IS MACEDONIA IN THE EU ROAMING ZONE?
Macedonia is outside the EU roaming zone, so using mobile internet often requires activating a roaming package to avoid high charges. These packages offer better rates for calls, texts, and data. For extended stays or heavy internet use, buying a local SIM card from providers like T-Mobile or A1 is a more affordable and convenient option.

WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL CURRENCY?
The official currency of Macedonia is the Macedonian Denar (MKD). Cash and cards are accepted, but smaller shops may require only cash. Currency exchange is available at banks, exchange offices, and some hotels; avoid street exchangers to ensure fair rates. Note that PayPal and similar services are not available.

TRANSPORTATION
In Skopje, public buses are often unreliable, with frequent delays and limited connectivity, making them an inconvenient choice for getting around.
We recommend using a taxi as a more efficient and affordable option. A typical 3 km ride costs around 3 euros, with each additional kilometer priced at about 1 euro. Services like BeeRide and Global offer the convenience of card payments, ensuring that you are charged the exact fare for your ride immediately, providing both transparency and ease of use.
